Admiral appoints MPG to £6m media account
Admiral Group, the insurance specialist, has appointed MPG to handle its £6m media planning and buying account following a pitch.

The agency won out against MediaCom North, Feather Brooksbank and the incumbent Mindshare.
The work will encompass the group’s insurance brands Admiral, Bell Direct, Diamond, and elephant.co.uk and will be effective from June.
Last month, Admiral selected Sword Ciboodle’s CRM platform to help improve its business flexibility. It is aiming to reduce the number of screens and steps needed to respond to customer requests.
Admiral Group recently reported an 11% rise in pre-tax profits to £202.5m in the year to December 2008. Net revenue rose 16% to £423m compared to the previous year; while UK car insurance profits lifted 27% to £179.9m.
MPG was recently appointed to handle the media accounts for Nationwide’s regional building society brands, Derbyshire, Cheshire and Dunfermline, without a pitch. The agency was last year awarded Nationwide’s media business.
