Nugget by Confused.com will automatically download and categorise users’ personal spending, making it easy for them to organise their finances.

The product will support all major banks, allowing users to sync their credit and debit card data.

Nugget will also offer e-mail alerts to inform users if any large purchases have been made or whether there has been any unusual activity on their accounts.

The launch is being led by Tom Beverley, Confused.com’s digital marketing director.

  • Personally I dont think that its something that will take off. I for one would be more inclined to trust one of my banks or credit cards rather than a site that aggregates all kinds of sites for the "best" price.
I wouldnt feel secure at all putting all my information into Confused...

  • This isnt going to work and I think that Microsoft money is a more established and trusted place than Confused.
Confused are losing the battle of the price comparison sites and this is a ditched attempt to come up with something different. Perhaps they should look to offer more lucrative offers and discounts to their customers that heading into something they know nothing about.

  • Oh no, please dont tell me we will have another wave of pointless irritating ads from a company lagging in its own industry.

Who are Confused actually aiming this at, by calling it Nugget... dont they realise that we take our finances seriously, I really cant see a take up from the public for a company that isnt performing as well as it should be.

  • The concept will take off, even if not with Confused.com. There are already several such sites which appear to be doing well (lovemoney.com, money dashboard, etc).

Furthermore, Microsoft Money has been discontinued.

The only strange thing is that they actually decided to brand it as competition for a discontinued product.
