B&Q aims for perfect Christmas

B&Q hopes to encourage people to decorate their homes in time for Christmas to make sure everything is “perfect”.

The TV ad shows a family decorating their home for Christmas and getting everything “perfect”, including the young daughter who has crafted her own homemade decoration which the parents have to find a place for.

The ad, created by McCann Erickson, launches today (14 November).  The TV ad will be supported with press, digital, social and PR activity.

B&Q’s head of advertising Ruth Harrison-Wood says: “We want our customers to know we are here to help with getting the home ready for Christmas this year. Christmas is often a stressful time and with too much going on, people can often forget what it’s really about. This advert is all about the feel good factor, that family scene that we are all familiar with and the satisfaction we all get from making improvements to our homes and the lives of our families. And, of course that extra little titivation to get your home perfect, this year”

  • Awful John Lewis "feely" ad rip off from B&Q. People will know that. Annie Lennox and that bearded man are awful actors as well.
