Mars taps up Peter Crouch for ads
Mars has signed England football player Peter Crouch to star in its new TV ads, according to reports.

The Tottenham Hotspur player will feature in a series of TV ads talking about how he became a footballer, and shows him in a pub team, says The Sun newspaper.
The confectioner is apparently looking for more football stars to join the campaign. Mars was unavailable for comment at time of writing.
Mars recently signed a five-year sponsorship deal with the Football Association to become an official “supporter” of the English national team as well as an official confectionery supplier to Wembley Stadium.
It acquired the Wrigley Company in 2008 and is reviewing its UK media buying business with a view to consolidating into one agency. The advertising agency working on Mars bars is Abbott Mead Vickers.BBDO.
Its main rival Cadbury has recently agreed an £11.9bn deal to be taken over by Kraft Foods. If the deal is agreed on 2 February, the two companies will become the “leader in the global foods and confectionery sector.”

Crouchie is an excellent choice. One of Footballs nicest guys, and doesnt come with baggage unlike the Terrys and Gerrards of the game.
