Mazuma Mobile hires Paul Daniels and Debbie McGee for TV ads

Mazuma Mobile, the online mobile phone recycler, is launching a new TV advertising campaign today which features Paul Daniels  and Debbie McGee.

The ad tries to hone in on the popularity of Mazuma’s consumer facing brand mascot, Maz. It is magic-themed and is focused on raising the brand to a completely different level while reinforcing the message that there is cash to be made from mobile phones.

Birmingham-based advertising agency Koala Inc. conceptualised and produced the new look TV ad which will be aired from today (3 March) on both free to air and cable channels.

It will be complemented by magic -themed competitions and promotions, utilising social media tools such as Mazuma Mobile’s Facebook page.

“Our earlier ads have been successful in educating the public on the value of recycling mobile phones, which was until recently a new concept and explained the six easy steps to recycling mobile phones with Mazuma,” says Charlo Carabott managing director of Mazuma Mobile.

The company claims it has now paid out £50m to its customers since it began business in 2007.
