Red Bull hunts ad agency for cola brand
Camille Alarcon
Red Bull is understood to be looking for an advertising agency to work on its fledgling cola brand, Red Bull Simply Cola.
It is believed that the drinks company has been in discussions with up to seven agencies, though it is not known if there will be an official pitch process.
Red Bull launched its cola brand in April last year, with a £2m campaign created by its existing roster of agencies Kastner & Partners and AMS Media Group. It included outdoor advertising, sampling and experiential activity.
It has been positioned as a premium and 100% natural cola and the only one in the market made with Kola nut and coca leaf. It also has no preservatives, additives, phosphoric acid, artificial colouring or flavours.
Simply Cola has also launched in Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Ireland, Russia, and the US and is available in on-trade and off-trade outlets in two sizes.
In March, Red Bull appointed Tim Krieglstein as its UK marketing director. He replaced Anoushka Feiler who left the company in November.

That sounds more like a health drink (in comparison), it's great. Any chance that the Cola would be brought to Africa?

Tim, Lose the Red Bull name, call it something else, focus on the brand attributes and then you might have a chance. Using the Red bull name I guarantee will not allow the brand to resonate as a natural cola brand with consumers.
