Rock Band game to launch in May

Rock Band, the MTV-backed computer game, is being released in the UK in May. The game, which has already been released in the US, has been updated to include more British bands.

The game challenges players to put together a band and go on tour, and mastering bass, guitar, drums and vocals. Players have a selection of classic rock songs to learn, including tracks by the Rolling Stones and Pixies.

The European edition will be launched on the Xbox 360 on May 23 and will include band such as Blur, Oasis, Muse and Manu Chao. Other songs will be made available for players to buy as they progress through the game.

The game has been developed by Harmonix and is published by MTV Games, Electronic Arts distributes and markets the title.
