Tesco to sell iPhone
Tesco has announced that it will sell the iPhone under its mobile phone network, Tesco Mobile.

The supermarket says the 3G and 3GS handsets will be available in Tesco stores and on Tesco Direct “shortly”.
Details of the deal are yet to be confirmed and Tesco has not revealed its tariffs or the price of the handset but the move is likely to spark a price war with other mobile networks.
The Apple handset will be available on Tesco Mobile pay as you go and monthly contracts.
Orange and Vodafone have just gained the rights to sell the iPhone after O2’s two-year exclusive deal came to an end this month.
Vodafone will not sell the Apple handset until the New Year but Orange customers were able to by it from 10 November.
Tesco Mobile is a joint venture with O2. Tesco announced earlier this year that it planned to double its number of in-store phone shops to around 100 by next March.

It's been too long since there was decent competiton for an iconic mobile amongst operators - finally it may be affordable for the masses...
