UK launch of Google Nexus One phone delayed
Google’s attempt to break into the mobile device market has suffered a setback with the news that its Nexus One handset won’t ship in the UK until late April, according to media reports.

The internet giant planned to launch its first Google-branded phone this month but there remains confusion over the cause of the delay.
Analysts have speculated that Google is looking to avoid the customer care problems that dogged the US launch of the device.
Google’s onaline distribution of the Nexus One drew criticism from consumers experiencing technical problems and prompted the company to take the unprecedented step of launching customer care phone lines.
The news means the Nexus One will launch weeks after Vodafone begins retailing the rival HTC Legend handset.

Google's huge, but Microsoft's bigger - I'm surprised that the big Monkey hasn't launched it's own phone hardware, rather than just supporting other manufacturers with its OS as its doing right now.
In case anybody thinks this might be a road-less-travelled for MS, they're already a major player in the gaming market w Xbox, and in the mp3 market (in the US) with Zune.
