UPDATE: Barclays will not replace Chambers
Barclays is not looking to replace global retail and commercial banking and Barclaycard chief marketing officer Libby Chambers.

Barclays is not looking to replace global retail and commercial banking and Barclaycard chief marketing officer Libby Chambers.
Chambers’ left the bank following the recent restructure of the bank’s retail banking operation. It is not known whether she has a job to go.
A spokesman for Barclays says: “There are no plans for a direct replacement”.
Chambers’ duties will be split between David Rutley, global retail banking director, Emmet Burns, retail banking marketing director and Michelle Bottomley, CMO for Barclaycard US, who will take on marketing responsibility for Barclaycard in the UK in addition to her US duties.
News of Chambers’ departure follows the creation of the Global Retail Banking division earlier this month.
The new division includes the UK Retail Banking and the Barclaycard businesses and is led by former Barclaycard chief executive Antony Jenkins.
Chambers led the recent “one small step” repositioning, which focussed on how the bank’s customers can take small steps to control their finances, savings and spending.
Burns was promoted to the role of marketing director for UK retail banking earlier this year. He replaced Dave Jeppesen who stepped down in August.
The bank also recently hired former British Airways marketer, Katherine Whitton as marketing director for Barclaycard UK.
Chambers had been in the job for 18 months and with Barclays for three years.
