Vodafone global marketing chief departs
Vodafone group chief marketing officer Frank Rovekamp is leaving the mobile operator and will be replaced by Talk Talk MD Wendy Becker.

She will step into her new role on 1 September. She will report to Vodafone Europe chief executive Michel Combes and join the company’s executive committee.
Rovekamp is expected to head back to his home country, the Netherlands. It is not known if he has a job to go to.
Becker was previously managing director of Carphone Warehouse’s phone and broadband business, Talk Talk. It recently acquired Tiscali UK.
There has been on going speculation that Vodafone is in the running to bid for Deutsche Telekom’s T-Mobile UK operations
But it has most recently emerged that some Vodafone shareholders are against such an acquisition. Yesterday (July 28), at the company’s annual general meeting chairman Sir John Bond said “there is no sale process” for T-Mobile.
Vodafone this year launched a new ad campaign created by Bartle Bogle Hegarty. One execution shows a mechanic miming to the song “If I Ruled the World”.
