Camelot to double National Lottery prices

They certainly haven't picked the best week to make this announcement! A 100% price increase is steep for regular players - irrespective of the increase in prizes. Last year's CEBR predictions for increased disposable income in 2013 must have been a factor in this decision, but is that still likely to happen as administrations impact upon the economy? It will be interesting to see how this affects the Health Lottery's flagging sales, and if they react and adapt their own offering. On the plus side, at least the National Lottery Twitter team have been kept busy dealing with the backlash..
