Meerkat launches third mini-film for Comparethemarket.com
Comparethemarket.com is launching the next phase of its television campaign starring meerkat character, Aleksandr.

Called “Streets of Ambitiousness,” it is the third part of the meerkcat’s family history story and follows the Journey of Courageousness and Battle of Fearlessness ads.
The 60-second mini-film documents the “humble origins” of the fictitious meerkat comparison business, Comparethemeerkat.com from a market stall to opening the first store, Comparethemeerkat.shop.
It is set in early Russia and stars a host of new characters alongside Aleksandr and his usual sidekick Sergei.
The ad, which was created by VCCP, breaks on 1 August. It continues Aleksandr’s mission to highlight the difference between Comparethemeerkat.com and Comparethemarket.com.
Mark Vile, comparethemarket.com marketing director, says: “This latest advert is the most exciting in the trilogy with a host of new characters being introduced. If fans were wondering how Aleksandr came to be the face of Comparethemeerkat.com, the new advert will answer all their questions!”
rival comparison site GoCompare recently launched its second ad camapaign featuring opera singer character Gio Compario after his debut saw brand awareness leap by 450%.

Brand awareness is one thing, but these meerkat adverts are getting quite tiresome now. Every time the Meerkat ads come on I mute my TV. Even Tesco dropped its Mum. Take a hint.

WELL JAMIE IF THIS SORT OF ADD PUTS A SMILE ON THE FACES OF BOTH OLD AND NEW THROUGH ADVERTISING A WORTHWHILE WEBSITE THEN SO BE IT. I REALLY THINK THEY ARE A BREATH OF FRESH AIR AND WELL DONE TO THE PERSON WHO THOUGHT THIS UP. SO GET A LIFE M8 AND IT MAY PUT A SMILE ON YOUR FACE ALTHOUGH I DOUBT IT.

I'm a 47-yr old cynic, and am certain that in the normal course of events I would find little of note in an commercial worthy of comment .... BUT, if somebody doesn't make a series of full-length half-hour episodes, (presumably, 'sponsored' by compare the MARKET.com ..), encompassing the "history" of A.Orlov Meerkat & his relatives & ancestors, they're wasting a teriffic opportunity .. I'd certainly watch it .. Chris-'S'.

The Meerkat family is the only advert worth watching at the moment. Simples must be the most used saying from any advert! Lets hope we can follow the family upto present day.
