The Sun plans overhauled TV weekly magazine

The Sun is planning a new weekly magazine which will replace The Sun TV Mag on Saturdays.

The new publication, due later this year, will celebrate the world of television and contain a broader mix of features including lifestyle as well as a revamped listings section.
The Sun’s associate editor, Jane Johnson, who launched Closer magazine and News of the World’s Fabulous magazine, is leading the project.
The Sun TV Mag was originally launched under the name Sun TV Super Guide in March 1991 and was renamed The TV Mag in October 1998.
TV listings magazines feature high in the Top 10 of actively purchased magazines in the six monthly ABC figures but it’s possible that The Sun is looking to capture some of this market and boost circulation as budget-conscious shoppers cut back on spending. The next ABCs are due on 12 August.
The Sun posted an average net circulation of 2.97m for June, up 1.5% on the previous month.

I got a shock last week when i got 'the sun' last saturday,i have always been faithful to the sun because of the great tv mag,it had everything,boasted & voted best tv mag around & it was,now it's more celeb magazine than tv mag,its dropped channels & films & compacted things so much i bought a separate regular mag & intend to drop the sun from now on,its just wrong!!

I don't like the new magazine. I usually keep the tv mag turned back so its on the right page for the day. When i do it with buzz it comes apart! I used to like the old mag as it was small and compact. I will now either have to change newspaper, or buy a separate tv mag, but i wont be using buzz.

I hate the new magazine!! Used to look forward to Saturday morning magazine, but have to buy tv mag now. The new magazine is full of mindless crap and pictures to look at. I like to read!!!!! Bring back the old one! :-(

Please bring back the old magazine. This new one is pointless. I will be buying a tv magazine instead the the sun from now on. A truly awful decision by the editor. How can we complain to the sun. Cam we start a petition.
